Marcia
has written stories all her life and wrote her first novel, Soul Search, in
1997. Her books are varied in their
subjects, but consistent in their appeal.
Marcia’s
background is as wide and varied as her books. She was born in New Jersey, but raised in
Houston, Texas. She has lived in New
Mexico, New Orleans, Dallas, and Austin. She began her working career in the
design drafting industry and spent many years designing everything from
chemical piping to bakery equipment.
She taught AutoCAD at several technical schools and supported herself many
times by designing custom homes. After
marrying her husband, she joined him in a landscape business in Houston,
which she currently runs along with her husband of 11 years, Richard.
With such a varied background Marcia has many experiences to use to create her stories. Even though most of her fiction has some element of fantasy in it, she bases the characters and circumstances around true events and people.
